WASHBURN - Margaret E. Hopper, 52, of Washburn, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, from injuries sustained in a train/car accident in Waterloo.

She was born April 10, 1955, in Waterloo, daughter of Keith and Gladys Bird Hopper. She was an operator for Northwestern Bell for 30 years, retiring in 2003.

Survivors include her parents of Washburn; a brother, Everett (Kristina) Hopper of San Diego; and two sisters, Roxann (James) Behan of Waterloo and Nancy (Ronald) Lovley of Westminster, Colo.

Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Everett and Ruth Hopper; and maternal grandparents, Carl and Margaret Bird.

There will be no services, and inurnment will be later in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball. The body will not be present.

Memorials may be directed to La Porte City or Gilbertville Fire and Rescue or the family.
