CEDAR FALLS - Sharon Lynn Leitz, 67, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born Nov. 13, 1946, in Chicago, daughter of Merle Eugene and Betty Catherine Hormel Chase. She married Lynn M. Leitz on May 17, 1985, in Waterloo.

Sharon was employed as a medical transcriptionist at Covenant Medical Center prior to going on disability.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Stephanie (Eric) Wallsteadt of Waterloo and Christine (John) Keis of Clinton; a stepson, Darin Leitz of Waterloo; and four grandchildren, Jeremy, Allison, Nolan and Adalynne.

Preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Carol Butschy and Pam Luhring.

Private family services: were Aug. 16 at Richardson Funeral Service.
