WATERLOO - Robert J. Houk, 66, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born March 3, 1943, in Nashville, Tenn., son of Robert and Christine Burton Houk. He married Carol Kirk on March 17, 1992, in Miami.

Mr. Houk graduated from high school in Donelson, Tenn., in 1961, then from Middle Tennessee State University. He was a boat salesman and marina manager in several locations in Florida, and he retired as a captain in the Tennessee Air National Guard.

Survived by his wife; a son, Robert Jackson III (Andrea) of Ankeny; a brother, George (Jackie) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and a sister, Tina Rocchietti of Lebanon, Tenn.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Parish. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to American Diabetes Association or Trinity Episcopal Parish.
