WATERLOO - Nolan Pryor, 86, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born May 29, 1922, in Greenview, Ill., son of Roy and Sarah Davis Pryor. He married Josie Alida Oium on Nov. 20, 1943, in La Crosse, Wis.

Mr. Pryor worked at AutoLite of La Crosse, and for 23 years at John Deere PEC from 1958 until retiring in 1982. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survived by two sons, Nolan Jr. of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Allen (Cathy) of Waterloo; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenny (Helen) of Mason City, Ill.; and a sister, Ethel Pryor of Peoria, Ill.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Davis, LeRoy and Curtis.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the chapel.
