WATERLOO - Richard Alan Wyant Sr., 59, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Allen Hospital of pneumonia.

He was born July 27, 1948, in Martinsville, Mo., son of Roy and Iola Bellamy Wyant. He married Nancy A. Marovets on Feb. 11, 1967, in New Hampton.

Mr. Wyant worked as a truck driver, most recently with Randolph's Trucking Co.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Richard A. II (Candy) of Elk Run Heights and David L. (Karol) of Waterloo; a daughter, Christina L. (Scott) Bonorden of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren, Richard A Wyant III, LeAnn Kay Wyant, Brenton Pierce, Tanner and Kylie Bonorden, Dani, Josh, Megan, Deann and Dasan Wyant; a great-grandson, Christopher Wyant; six brothers, Gordon Fraser, Kenneth (Marilyn) Wyant and Larry (Sherry) Wyant, all of Waterloo, John Fraser of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and Carl (Judy) Wyant and Michael (Paula) Wyant, both of Evansdale; and six sisters, Arliss (James) Hamilton of Cedar Falls, Ann Dreckman of Akron, Ohio, Wanda (Walter) Basler of St. John, Ind., Marilyn (Mike) Argabright of Tulsa, Okla., Edna (Kenneth) Huntley of Waterloo and Lois Jane Kirk-Schwake (Chuck Vondracek) of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Darlene Wiebenga; and five brothers, Alvin Neal and James, Lyle, Bill and Art Wyant.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

He loved spending time with his family and was fond of fishing.
