WATERLOO - Robert J. Rowell, 69, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital.

He was born April 19, 1945, in Volga, son of Richard and Zelda Lickiss Rowell. He married Kandra Koehn on May 5, 1973, in Waterloo.

Bob was employed with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 33 years, retiring in 2006.

Survived by his wife; a son, Richard (Billie) of Waterloo; a daughter, Paula (Del) Ludden of Waterloo; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sharon Burke of Waterloo and Avice Potter of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Merwin “Mert,” Richard and Marlin; and a sister, Alberta Norman.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Reformed Church, Waterloo, with burial in Taylorsville Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and an hour before services Monday at the church.
