WATERLOO - Julie Kay DeVries, 55, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.

She was born Oct. 20, 1958, in Waterloo, daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy Delamore Kneeskern. She married Robert DeVries on June 14, 1980, in Waterloo.

Julie graduated from Columbus High School. She worked as a custodian for Cedar Valley Catholic Schools for the past 19 years.

Survived by her husband; a son, Joseph of Waterloo; three daughters, Jessica, Chelsea and Hannah DeVries, all of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Celeste, Tyler and Carson; her mother of Waterloo; two sisters, Krisann Kaumans and Lisa (Steve) Heiple, both of Waterloo; and four brothers, Jim (Muriel) Kneeskern of Springfield, Mass., Bill and Albert Kneeskern, both of Waterloo, and Mark (Lisa) Kneeskern of Clarksville.

Preceded in death by her father; a brother, Steven Kneeskern; and a brother-in-law, Danny Kaumans.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Monday at the church.
