WATERLOO - Julie A. Seidel, 57, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born May 4, 1957, in Waterloo, daughter of Victor and Arlene Kendall Seidel.

Julie attended River Hills School. She was employed with Goodwill Industries and Northstar Community Services for many years.

Survived by a brother, Vic (Helen Cannon) Seidel II of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a nephew, Victor (Adelee) Seidel III of Nashville, Tenn.; a niece, Allison Seidel of Denver, Colo.; her stepmother, Eldoris Seidel of Waterloo; and her aunt and uncle, Verne and Irene Seidel of Raymond.

Preceded in death by her parents; and an aunt, Clarice Kendall.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Exceptional Persons.

Julie was the light of our lives, truly a shining example of unconditional love and caring. She always had a hug for everyone, including strangers.
