WATERLOO - Genevieve Marie Kroma, 85, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rebab Center.

She was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Waterloo, daughter of Joseph and Adela Babisch Woock. She married Bernard C. "Ben" Kroma on July 16, 1955, in Waterloo. He died Aug. 20, 1969.

Mrs. Kroma graduated from the Chicago School of Nursing in 1947 as a licensed practical nurse and worked for St. Francis Hospital and Covenant Medical Center for 39 years in their operating rooms.

Survivors include four nieces, four nephews and many friends.

Preceded in death by three sisters; and three brothers.

Graveside services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Queen of Peace Catholic Church or Covenant Medical Center Foundation.
