WATERLOO - Steven M. Newgren, 45, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 28, 2007, in Ozora, Mo., of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 14, 1962, in Waterloo, son of Robert and Effie Newgren.

He was employed in the shipping and receiving department of Traer Manufacturing for 13 years and as a truck driver for Raun Transportation, Marshalltown, for the past five years. He graduated from Central High School.

Survived by his fiancee, Anna Anfinson of Waterloo; a daughter, Charisse Elaine Newgren Kemp of Elk Run Heights; a stepdaughter, Tasha Kemp of Elk Run Heights; two brothers, Mark (Donna) and Todd, both of Waterloo; two sisters, Cindy (William) Begg of Cedar Falls and Robin (Robert) O'Hara of Elk Run Heights; nine nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; and paternal and maternal grandparents.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Central Christian Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
