Discrepancy in the date of birth. Her gravestone is inscribed 1887-1960 making her 72 or 73, not 65 as the newspaper says.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Union Baptist Church for Mrs. Treather Jordan, 65, of 104 Jackson St. Mrs. Jordan died of a heart ailment Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ollie Mae Hoosman, of 349 Albany St. The Rev. L. J. Jordan and the Rev. Percy Burt will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Jordan was born, in Greenwood, Miss., the daughter of Ben and Emma Putman. She had lived in Waterloo for 17 years. Her husband, Sam Jordan, preceded her on Mar. 3, 1954, in Waterloo. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Sam Jordan, Jr., of 118 Newell St.; Ben Jordan, of 104 N. Barclay St.; Willie Jordan, of St. Louis, Mo.; Richard Jordan of 115 Almost St., and Alonzo Jordan, of 519 Iowa St.; four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Love, of 333 Cottage St.; Mrs. George Curtiss of Minneapolis, Minn; Mrs. Julia Russell, of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Hoosman; one sister Mrs. Ora Powell, of 514 Mobile St.; three brothers, Ben Putman, of 514 Mobile St.; Andrew Putman, of Whitmore, Ark., and Lee Putman, of Akron, Ohio; 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters and her husband.
