Arthur Elias Beightol, 82, of 646 Riehl St., died at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He had been in the hospital for two weeks with a heart ailment.

Mr. Beightol was born July 11, 1877*, at Lehigh, Ia., the son of John and Jewel Beightol. He married Edith DeFrance at Webster City, Dec. 25, 1897. They lived for three years at Clarion and then moved to Waterloo.

Mr. Beightol was a carpenter and his last employment was with the John G. Miller Construction Co. He was a member of the Marion Methodist Church, the Oddfellows lodge and Carpenters Local 1835.

Surviving are one son, Ralph, Fallbrook, Calif., and two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Johnson, Brookside Park, Cedar Falls, and Mrs. Otto Bosecke, Chicago, nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

The body may be seen at Parrott & Wood Funeral home after noon Wednesday.
