CEDAR FALLS - Cynthia Arlene “Cindy” Dietz, 72, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at UnityPoint Heath-Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born June 13, 1942, in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of John O. and Doris Arlene Stegmann Beckman. She married Murle Dietz on Dec. 17, 1961, at her parents’ home in Waterloo.

Survived by her husband; a son, Curtis Stanton of Waterloo; a daughter, Michelle (Steve) Dietz-Merry of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Cathy (Daron “Jake”) Jacobs of Traer.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Christopher John.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
