WATERLOO - Bonnie Jane Miller, 81, of Vinton, formerly of Waterloo, died July 30, 2014 at Virginia Gay Hospital, Vinton.

She was born Jan. 27, 1933, in Rochester, Minn., daughter of Elmer and Gladys Berg Pinney. She married Raymond Miller on Aug. 23, 1951, in Elgin, and they later divorced.

Bonnie was a barber for 20 years at Mom's Barber Shop.

Survived by a daughter, Betty Praska of Dubuque; five sons, Dean and Mark (DeAnn), both of Waterloo, Mike (Sharon) of Chula Vista, Calif., Ernie of California and Dan of Des Moines; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Karol) Pinney of Anamosa; and two sisters, Phyllis Ruroden of Fayette and Cheryl (Chuck) Clemmensen of Raymond.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Duane Pinney.

Memorial services: 4 p.m. Saturday at Harvard Vineyard Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment in Garden of Memories. Sanders Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Bonnie liked spending time with her family, fishing, playing cards, bingo, sewing, crocheting, yodeling, singing and playing the organ and accordion. The best thing of all, she enjoyed life, especially wild flowers and making friends.
