Miss Louise Michel, 73, died at 11:30 p. m. Sunday at the home of her niece, Mrs. R. C. Henry, Cedar Falls, of embolism. She had been ill four weeks.

Miss Michel was a graduate nurse, and had spent most of her life In Mount Vernon Township and vicinity.

Louise Michel was born Feb. 20, 1859, near Troy, N. Y., the daughter of John and Catherine Michel. When she was six years old she came with her parents to a farm near Denver, Ia., in Mount Vernon Township.

She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical church, Mt. Vernon Township.

Surviving are three sisters. Mrs. Anna Klinefelter, 608 Wellington Street, Waterloo; Mrs. John Padget, Route 4, Waterloo, and Mrs. Kate Barth, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and one brother, George Michel, Oelwein.

Miss Michel was preceded in death by her parents and by two sisters, Arvllla, who died in infancy, and Mrs. Burr Lynch, Mt. Vernon Township, who died two years ago.

Since the death of Mrs. Lynch Miss Michel had been housekeeper for her brother-in-law.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Parrott & Wood funeral home, Waterloo, with Rev. C. A. Hillin, pastor of First Baptist Church, Oelwein, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
