William Allen, 51, 218 Linn Street, died at 6 a.m. Sunday in a Waterloo hospital of paralysis. He had been in failing health for two years but critically in only since last Tuesday.
Allen had been a resident of Waterloo 15 years, and had been employed at the Rath Packing Company before his health failed.
He was born January 10, 1881, at Mobile, Ala. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Allen, are two daughters, Jessie Lee Allen, Waterloo, and Betty Allen, Mobile, Ala.
The body was taken to the Kistner Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Rev. J. H. Patten, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may view the body at Kistner's up until the hour of service.
