WATERLOO, IOWA - Edith Marie Damon, 93, of Waterloo, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Jan. 16, 1921, in Tripoli, daughter of Herman and Hilda Rohrssen Buls. She married James A. Damon on March 19, 1941, in Waterloo; he died June 4, 2011.

Edith was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Schoitz Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1983.

Survived by a son, Roger (Verlene) of Parkersburg; a daughter, Janet (Don) Cushion of Mabel, Minn.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd (Jane) Buls of Waterloo; and a sister, Lois Hagen of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carrie Cushion; and a sister, Darlene Holm.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at First Congregational Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
