RAYMOND - Barbara J. Gilson, 75, of Raymond, died Friday, July 25, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 26, 1938, in Strawberry Point, daughter of Harry and Irene Franck Wilson. She married Iner Gilson on Feb. 9, 1957, in Oelwein.

Barbara graduated from Oelwein High School. She worked as a secretary at Rath Packing Company and then worked as a secretary and also in human services for Sears, retiring after 28 years.

Survived by her husband of Raymond; four sons, Robert (Venessa) of Evansdale, Richard (Shelly) of Waterloo, David (Toni) of Elk Run Heights, Ronald (Teresa) of Waterloo; three daughters, Connie Gilson of Raymond, Kim (Joel) Graham of Evansdale, Tracy (Gene Halbmaier) Gilson of Waterloo; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six brothers, Jim (Bonnie) Wilson of Waterloo, Wayne (Diana) Wilson of Springfield, Mo., Jerry (Carol) Wilson of Waterloo, Mark (Michele) Wilson of Evansdale, Bruce (Nadine) Wilson of Denver, Randy (Julie) Wilson of Minn.; three sisters, Carmen Quigley of Waterloo, Faye (Matt) Dostart of Waterloo; JoEllen (Dennis) Ungs of Fredericksburg; a brother-in-law, Lavern (Beverly) Gilson of Oelwein; a sister-in-law, Ilyene Gilson of Dunkerton; and an aunt, Lavon(Veryl) Kelley of Hiawatha.

Preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Virginia Wilson, Susan Beebe and Sharon Wilson in infancy; a brother Ronnie Wilson in infancy; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Hammond.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m Monday and also for an hour hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
