WATERLOO - Adeline Verla Adams, 80, of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of 709 Wisconsin Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Ravenwood.

She was born April 5, 1925, in Ossian, daughter of Theodore and Marion VonDerSitt Uhlenhake. She married Robert Dean Adams Jan. 27, 1945, at Klamath Falls, Ore. He died Oct. 14, 1990.

She was employed for several years as a waitress in Blacks Tea Room and also for several years as a bookkeeper for Davidsons Office. She then owned and operated Verlas Ceramic Shop.

Survived by two sons, Robert G. (Sharon) of Waterloo and William L. of Des Moines; seven grandchildren, Kristine (Steve) Graverson, Daniel J. Adams, Michelle (Charles) VanHorn, Robert M. Adams, Matthew B. Adams, Tracey Adams and David (Steffane) Adams; five great-grandchildren, Michale Graverson, Krista Graverson, Macen Adams, Alexandria Dittmer and David Adams; a brother, Merlin Uhlenhake of Eagle Center; and five sisters, Lucille White of Bluffton, Delores Simmons of Cedar Falls, Alice Frana of Ridgeway, Lou Ellen (Dale) Chase of Waterloo and Marilyn (Sergio) Fuggitti of Eagle Center.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Morent and Clarence Uhlenhake; and a sister, Mary Uhlenhake.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
