WATERLOO - Judy D. Stuber, 68, of Plainfield, Ill., formerly of Waterloo and Denver, died Tuesday, July 15, 2015, at Season’s Hospice, Naperville, Ill., of cancer.

She was born March 25, 1946, in Des Moines, daughter of Joe and Mary Ortex Alatorre. She married Tim Stuber on March 24, 1979, at First Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Judy graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1965. She worked for the Waterloo Community Schools and retired in May 2005.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Lori (Scot) Swinton of Waverly and Jodi Neuendorf of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Zach (Amanda) Ingles of Hudson, Ashley Neuendorf and Amanda Lee, both of Waterloo, and Tanner Werner and Cassidy Werner, both of Waverly; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of Life family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.

Memorials may be directed to the family for further designation.

In her spare time, Judy enjoyed golfing, needlepoint, watching football and reading.
