WATERLOO - Countice “Connie” Lehman, 78, of Waterloo, died at home Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

She was born April 23, 1936, in Dover, Ark., daughter of Daniel and Oval Jewel Clayton Fisher. She married Harry Lehman on May 16, 1959, in Oklahoma City.

After graduation from high school she attended college to learn secretarial skills and was secretary at Lippert Bros. Construction. She worked for the city of Waterloo and later John Deere as an administrative assistant to the foundry manager. After retiring from Deere, she earned her real estate license, and eventually became licensed in insurance sales.

Survived by her husband; a son, Dan (Kyoko) of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Debbie Lehman of Kansas City; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Johnson of Oklahoma City and Johnnie Horn of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Johnson; and a brother, George Fisher.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

The family is grateful to Cedar Valley Hospice for their wonderful care of Connie.
