WATERLOO - Mark D. Skyles, 59, of Waterloo, died Monday, July 7, 2014, as the result of an automobile accident on US 21 south of Dysart.

He was born Feb. 25, 1955, in Fairmont, Minn., son of Donald and Nona Hermundstad Skyles. He married Carmen Kehoe McCollow on June 28, 1995, in Waterloo.

Mark was general manager of Reed Cadillac, general manager of Smitty’s Tire and Appliance and currently a representative of Catholic Order of Foresters Insurance.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Adam (Toni) Skyles of Des Moines, Shane McCollow of Cedar Falls and Benjamin Skyles at home; two daughters, Abbie (Alan) Loynachan of Lexington, Ky., and Rachael (David) Brenden of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Logan and Paige Skyles and Leo Brenden; his mother of Cedar Falls; and three sisters, Sally (Greg) Cox of Waterloo, and Jane (Tom) Flanigan and Mary Skyles, both of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Ammie Skyles; and his father.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church.
