WATERLOO - Gregory D. Cook, 66, of Waterloo, died Saturday, July, 5, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital.

He was born June 1, 1948, in Waterloo, son of Wilbur and Ivyle Burt Cook. He graduated from East High School.

Survived by two sons, Shane and Troy, both of Waterloo; a grandson, Jonathon Cook; his father of Waterloo; a sister, Carol (John) Hosstadter of Hudson; and his girlfriend, Mary Coburn of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his mother.

Family-conducted memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Prairie Lakes Church, where visitation begins at 10 a.m. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway assisted the family.

Greg was kindhearted, and his intentions were always good. He was a superb mechanic, “one of the best” it has been said. Greg is dearly loved and will be missed greatly by his loved ones.
