RAYMOND - Lawrence Michael Flick, 90, of Raymond, died Sunday, July 6, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born July 5, 1924, in Nashua, son of Michael and Julia Diederich Flick. He married Elaine C. Koenigsfeld on Jan. 7, 1948, at St. Boniface Church, Ionia.

Lawrence graduated from St. Boniface High School in 1941. He was a farmer in the Ionia area until 1957, and then moved to the Waterloo area where he worked at various companies as a machinist and supervisor. He retired in 1986 from Samson Supply, Waterloo.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Steven (Joelle) of Hill City, S.D., and Alan (Julie) of Raymond; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Renneberg of Minnesota; and two sisters-in-law, Mildred Flick and Bernice Flick.

Preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marilyn Ann Flick; five brothers, John (Sophie), Leo, Norbert (Myrtle), Ralph and Louis; and a brother-in-law, Lambert Renneberg.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in St. Boniface Cemetery, Ionia. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Cedar Valley Hospice or the church.

Lawrence's passions in life included hunting, fishing, trapping, flying small airplanes and fast pitch softball.
