Man Drowns
In Bathtub
Fall Here

William (Ducky) Harris, about 65, of 414 Florence St., was accidentally drowned in the bathtub at his apartment when he apparently fell and hit his head on a faucet, Dr. Eugene Smiih, deputy county medical examiner, ruled yesterday.

The body of Mr. Harris was found in the bathtub about 3:30 p.m. yesterday by the landlord when he came to collect the rent. Dr. Smith reported. The landlord called police. Dr. Smith said he believed Harris had been dead for about 24 hours before his body was discovered.

One of Harris' house slippers he had the other one on, which lead the deputy medical examiner to believe Harris had apparently drawn water for a bath and then in an effort to reach something in a medicine cabinet on the side of the bathtub had balanced with one foot on the lavatory and the other on the edge of the bathtub.

The death was ruled accidental.

Funeral arrangement are pending at the Johnson Funeral Home.
