WATERLOO - Jim L. Morgan, 56, of 525 Greenbriar Downs Drive, OFallon, Mo., formerly of New Hampton and Waterloo, died Monday, June 13, 2005, at St. Josephs Hospital, St. Charles, Mo., following a heart attack.

He was born Sept. 10, 1948, in Waterloo, son of Richard and Phyllis Nissen Morgan. He married Jeanne Munson Sept. 14, 1968, in Waterloo.

He graduated from West High School in 1967 and received his electrical engineering degree from Hawkeye Community College. Mr. Morgan was a project engineering manager at the Sara Lee Bakery in New Hampton from September 1972 to June 2000. He was currently working as an engineering consultant for Fort Dodge Animal Health in Charles City.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survived by his wife; a son, David of Waterloo; a daughter, Elaine (David) Brickley of Oregon, Wis.; two grandchildren, Connor and Meghan Brickley of Oregon, Wis.; his father, Richard Morgan of Waterloo; two brothers, John (Jeanne) of Waterloo and Joe of Fayetteville, Ark.; two sisters, Janet (Keith) Bessman and Twyla (Dave) Conrad, both of Waterloo; his mother-in-law, Elva Munson of Waterloo; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Murray of Madison, Wis.

Preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis; and a brother, Jerry Morgan.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorial fund will be established.
