Services are tentatively set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Parrott & Wood Chapel for Mrs. Mae L. Jay, 76, of 1019 South St., who died at her home Sunday at 3:30 p. m. of a heart condition. Friends may call at the Chapel after 6 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Jay was born Sept. 12, 1889, in Orange Township, to William and Lydia Sweitzer Speicher. She was educated in the Waterloo Public Schools and at the Waterloo Business College.

She was married to Raymond D. Jay in 1916, in Waterloo. She had been a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Jay was employed at the Hotel President for about 20 years.

She is survived by two sons, Robert K. Jay, of 2004 Grand Blvd., Cedar Falls, and Paul M. Jay, of 1532 Byron Ave.; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Blitsch, 1623 Hawthorne, Cedar Falls. Mrs. Robert Sarset, of Mason City, and Betty M. Jay, at home; a sister, Mrs. Nellie McKellar, Minneapolis, Minn.; and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Jay was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
