WATERLOO - Darlene Slight Jones, 75, of Waterloo, formerly of Shell Rock, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born June 19, 1930, in Shell Rock, daughter of Earl and Grace Miller Loomis. She married Lawrence Slight July 13, 1946, in Shell Rock. He died May 22, 1984. She then married Bill Jones April 27, 2001, at Linden United Methodist Church, Waterloo.

She worked at various dry cleaners and restaurants in the Shell Rock and Waverly areas.

Survived by her husband; a son, Russell (Terry) Slight of Estherville; two daughters, Sharon (Ted) Melohn of Stout and Linda (Don) Rinnels of Shell Rock; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by two brothers; and three sisters.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Linden United Methodist Church, Waterloo, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.
