WATERLOO - Evelyn Darlene Sawyer, 79, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, of natural causes.

She was born March 5, 1926, in Oelwein, daughter of Harland and Marvel Mentzer Robinson. She married William Sawyer on Dec. 1, 1962, in Preston, Minn. He died Feb. 7, 2002.

Mrs. Sawyer was employed many years as a nurses aide and at Hinson Manufacturing. She then worked at Seiberts Laundry for many years, retiring in 1985.

Survivors include a son, Michael V. Good of Hinckley, Minn.; three daughters, Julie Warner of Independence, and Amy (John) Bond and Robin Roby, both of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul (Phyllis) Robinson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Marvin Robinson; and twin granddaughters.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
