WATERLOO - Leota K. Kimball, 75, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Manor Care Nursing Home, Platteville, Wis.

She was born June 12, 1938, in Marshalltown, daughter of Ralph and Margaret Woodard Swanson. She married DeWayne Kimball on Feb. 2, 1957; he died Jan. 21, 2005.

Leota graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1956, and during the late 1950s worked in the office at Rath Packing Co. After her children were born she was a homemaker for 53 years.

Survived by a son, Dan of Dalton, Ala.; a daughter, Diane Delagardelle of Galena, Ill.; four grandchildren, Tony (Laura) Stammler and Steve Stammler, both of Waterloo, Mike Stammler of Cuba City and Danielle Kimball of Denver, Colo.; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Stammler of Waterloo.

Family graveside services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Waterloo Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home of Waterloo and Casey Funeral Home, Cuba City, Wis., are in charge of arrangements.

Leota enjoyed ice skating, boating and attending antique car shows with her husband.
