WATERLOO - Francis Gerald Shaw, 69, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at Florida Hospital, Sebring, Fla.

He was born Feb. 25, 1936, in Manchester, son of Paul and F. Elizabeth Schwartz Shaw. He married Charlene Sturch on Oct. 24, 1987, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Evansdale.

Mr. Shaw was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He was owner of Shaw Drywall and Plastering.

Survivors include his wife; three sons; four daughters; his mother; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy (Duane) Moore of Cedar Falls.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Evansdale, with private family burial later. Military rites will be conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19. Friends may call for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial fund has been established.
