WATERLOO, IOWA - Danny Lee Deeds, 61, of Waterloo, died Monday, April 17, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, in Waterloo.

He was born January 5, 1945, in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Mervin Sr. and Marilyn Hickman Deeds. He married Eldene R. Duneman on November 2, 1961, in Preston, Minnesota.

Mr. Deeds had been a welder for John Deere & Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1998.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joseph (Dawn) and Troy (Mindy), both of Waterloo; a daughter, Lisa (Mike) Heckenlively of Waterloo; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his mother of Iowa City; a brother, Merv Jr. (Linda) of Waterloo; and a sister, Jackie (Gary) Alberhasky of Iowa City.

Preceded in death by his father; and an infant daughter, Teresa.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
