WATERLOO - Sherry Ann Dolan, 59, of Waterloo, died Sunday, July 2, 2006, in Oklahoma as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born June 2, 1947, in Waterloo, the daughter of Melvin "Bud" and Rose Meier Welter. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1965. Sherry worked as a supply chain manager at John Deere for 30-plus years, and also founded and owned Rosebud's Creations in Waterloo.

Sherry's joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Whether it was Hayley's softball games, Taylor's dance recitals, endless time with Sam in the swing or the quiet moments rocking Will, Sherry was never short of energy for the loved ones in her life.

She also enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends and most recently enjoyed traveling throughout the Midwest finding unique and specialty holiday items for her annual Rosebud Open House.

Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Randy) Deutmeyer of Hiawatha and Lisa (Tim) Romberger of Hinsdale, Ill.; four grandchildren, Hayley, Taylor, Sammy and Will; one brother, Bill (Michele) Welter of Iowa City; nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Ellen and Julia Welter; and special friends, Kevin and Tammy Dill of Moline, Ill.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Memorials may be made to the family.
