WATERLOO - Carl A. Patmore, 86, of Waterloo, died at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, on Thursday, May 1, 2014.
He was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Waterloo, son of Carl and Sarah Hilton Patmore. He married Shirley Wildebour on Dec. 27, 1952, in Cedar Rapids.
Carl served as a surgical and medical technician in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a stocker in the warehouse for John Deere, retiring in 1984 after more than 37 years.
Survived by his wife of Waterloo; two daughters, Terri Zaputil of Waterloo and Denise (Frank) Leider of Sarasota, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Shanahan; and a great grandson.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded. Visitation will be for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
