WATERLOO - Adeline Jirak, 95, of Waterloo, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born March 23, 1911, in Schley, daughter of Frank and Mary Kacer Doubek. She married Eugene W. Jirak Oct. 19, 1926, in Protivin. He died Aug. 5, 1953.

Mrs. Jirak was employed with Howard Cleaners in Cresco and later with Varsity Cleaners in Waterloo for 21 years.

Survived by three daughters, Loretta O'Brien, Lavern Monahan and Lois (Maynard) Hansen, all of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three brothers, James, Charles and Frank Doubek.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
