CEDAR FALLS - Maxine Marie Secor, 68, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at her home of melanoma.

She was born Aug. 22, 1937, in Boone County, daughter of Howard Harold and Lucille Rita Kenan John. She married Donald Joseph Secor in 1957 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1970.

She worked in the food service department at Cedar Falls High School and as a home health aide for Black Hawk County.

Survived by three sons, David (Linda Goltry) of Cedar Falls, James P. Sr. (Anna) of Bellevue, Neb., and Jason Lee of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Teresa (Robert Jr.) Albert and Sandra (Brian) Albert, both of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren, Aaron Secor, Justin Albert, Jamie (John) Wardell, Jeannie (Brad) Dempster, Victoria Secor, James P. Secor Jr., Elizabeth Secor, Sara Albert and Shawna Albert; a sister, Donna (Dick) Godwin of Yale; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cherished friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cedar Falls Gospel Hall, 13th and Walnut streets, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the gospel hall. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
