Funeral services for Mrs. Viola L. Mastain, 88, of the harmony Health Care Center, formerly of Hudson, were held Tuesday, February 23, 1993 at 1:30 p.m. at the Community Church of Hudson. Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery with Locke Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mastain passed away on Saturday of natural causes.

She was born September 2, 1904 in Tama County, the daughter of Edd and Lenora Bonewitz Arter. She was married to Glenn E. Mastain on February 23, 1927 in Waterloo.

She was a member of the Community Church of Hudson, the Women's Christian Fellowship, Rebecca Lodge, Farm Bureau and the Sunshine Club.

She is survived by one son, Robert Mastain, rural Hudson; Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on February 23, 1975; one son, Allen Mastain, one sister, Alzada Yarrington and one brother, Eldon Arter.

Memorials may be made to the Community Church of Hudson.
