Mrs. Harriett Law, aged 87, died at her home, 212 Clay Street, last Saturday afternoon at 12:25.

Mrs. Law was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Bradley and was born in Beeford, Yorkshire, England, June 16, 1821. She went to Canada with her parents in 1831, where she lived at Brooklin, Whitly Township, Ontario, Canada, until April 1868, when she moved to Iowa, settling in Black Hawk Township, residing there until the spring of 1878, when she moved to her late home in Cedar Falls. She was married to William Law, Nov. 18, 1841, who died Doc. 9, 1886.

Nine children blessed their union, seven boys and two girls, of whom four sons survive her: W. M. of Waterloo, Robert of Anthony, Kans., Frank of Hanna, N. D. and Thomas of Oakland, Calif. Besides she leaves twenty-two grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was a loving wife and mother and her patience and cheerfulness was wonderful to all who knew her. She was brought up with her parents in the Methodist persuasion.

The funeral was held from her late home on Monday afternoon, Rev. G. H. Birney of the Methodist church officiating. The burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
