WATERLOO - Nicholas "Nick" James Junk, 19, of Waterloo, died ¨Sunday, July 24, 2005, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Waterloo.

He was born July 20, 1986, in Waterloo, son of James and Angela Knipp Junk. He graduated from Columbus High School in 2005 and would have entered the U.S. Air Force in August. He worked at Allen Hospital in Waterloo and was involved with Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Survivors include his parents of Waterloo; two sisters, Suzette "Suzy" Junk of Phoenix, Ariz., and Rylee Junk of Waterloo; a brother, Anthony "Tony" of the U.S. Air Force in California; maternal grandparents, Robert J. and Carolyn Knipp, and Kathryn Knipp, all of Waterloo; great-grandmother, Clara Knipp of Waterloo; niece and nephew, Satya and Savien Van Dunk; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Harold and Evelyn Junk; and a brother, James "Jamie" C. Junk.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. There will be a 3 p.m. youth vigil today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, followed by visitation from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
