WATERLOO - Barbara J. Neelans, 57, of Carmel, Ind., formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 21, 2005, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

She was born Oct. 9, 1947, in Waterloo, daughter of William M. and Estella Vice Anderson. She married Gary Neelans Sr., and they later divorced.

Ms. Neelans was owner/operator of a home-cleaning service and had been employed at Logan Avenue Maid Rite for 15 years. She enjoyed flower arranging and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Alan and Gary Jr., both of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon and Andrew Neelans, all of Waterloo, and Kyle Neelans of Dysart; a brother, Marshall Anderson of Rockford, Ill.; and her friend and companion, Raul Corona of Carmel.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Annette Neelans.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
