CEDAR FALLS - Carol E. Young, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of lung cancer.

She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Hawkeye, daughter of Walter and Ruby Sellers Brockway. On Aug. 29, 1952, she married Robert Young in Arlington.

Mrs. Young was employed in the cafeteria at Rath Packing Co., Waterloo, for 43 years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters: Susan (Glen) Zubrod of Nashua and Jane Young of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a brother, Walter Brockway of Waterloo; and two sisters, Donna Senner and Imogene Scott, both of West Union.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Donald, George and Russell Brockway: and a sister, Juanita Petersen.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
