Helen J. Wagner, 95, of Jesup, died Friday, May 20, 2011, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Waterloo of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 30, 1915, in La Porte City, daughter of Theodore and Barbara Becker. She married Leo George Wagner March 31, 1937, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church.

Survived by three daughters, Marian (Ray) Schmitz of Jesup, Norma (Mike) Fischels of Independence and Diane (Paul) Gudenkauf of Jesup; two sons, Mike (Ruth) of Marion and Don (Eileen) of Arlington, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Angeline Becker of Independence.

Preceded in death by six brothers, Servus, Mike, Matt, Joe, Arnold and Ted Becker; and four sisters, Julia Oberhauser, Christina Wester, Gertrude Funfsinn and Barbara Schares.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Gilbertville. Public visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, with a 3 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

A memorial fund has been established.
