HAYES, AMMERMAN

The funeral services over the remains of Edward B. Hayes were very brief at the home, conducted at 1:30 o'clock today by Rev. T. M. Evans. The remains were taken to Tama County, the former home of deceased, for burial.

Mr. Hayes had been a sufferer for the past fourteen years, on account of a facial swelling caused by a kick from a mule fourteen years ago, fracturing the jawbone, which never mended.

Edward Bruce Hayes was born at Toledo, Tama county, this state, March 23, 1861, and was 39 years of age, He spent all his life in his native town until he came to Waterloo to enter into business two years ago.

He was married at Toledo, Feb. 27, 1887, to Miss Cora Ammerman, who with four children, three girls and one boy, survives him.
