Keith Kent Kullmer, 82, of Jesup, formerly of La Porte City, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at ABCM Rehabilitation Center-West Campus, Independence.

He was born Oct. 4, 1931, on the family farm near Traer in Tama County, son of Keith Karl and Mildred Mae Weaver Kullmer. On May 4, 2003, he married Grace Darlene May Mueller in Jesup.

Keith graduated from La Porte City High School in 1952. He farmed with his parents and also worked 22 years as janitor and groundskeeper for La Porte City Schools, retiring in 1996. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jesup.

Survived by his wife; two stepsons, Gary (Melissa) Mueller of Waverly and Steven (Eileen) Mueller of Urbandale; three stepdaughters, Kimberley (Craig) Flage of Zeeland, Mich., Pamela (John) Risse of Fairbank and Dennice (Jim) Beal of Newell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Gretchen) of La Porte City.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Jesup, with burial in Westview Cemetery, La Porte City. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and an hour before services Tuesday, all at the church. White Funeral Home, Jesup, is in charge of arrangements.
