WATERLOO - James V. Zoll, 66, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1939, in Waukon, son of Vivian Butch and Ann Becker Zoll. He married Regina Freilinger and they later divorced. He then married Nancy Stanford in 1982. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Zoll was a graduate of Waukon High School and had worked 31 years for John Deere Co., retiring in 1990. He enjoyed deer, pheasant, and squirrel hunting with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing with his six children.

Survivors include four sons, Tim of Ionia, Mark of Waterloo, David of Tripoli and Brian (Becky) of Gilbertville; two daughters, Madonna Zoll and Michelle (Doug) Burns, both of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; a brother, Greg (Gail) Zoll of San Antonio; and two sisters, Shirley (Ronnie) Waters of Dubuque and Patty Dufrane of Minnesota.

Preceded in death by a brother, John Jack.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in St. Marys Hanover Church Cemetery, near Waukon. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home. Graveside committal services will be 2:30 p.m. at St. Marys Hanover Church, Waukon.
