Miss Maxine Harriet Buehner, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Buehner, 701 Logan Avenue, died suddenly at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday at her home, of sleeping sickness. She was taken ill Tuesday morning.

Miss Buehner came to Waterloo from Waverly with her parents as a child, and attended Washington grade school and East High School. She was a member of Grace Methodist Episcopal Church, Epworth league and the church choir.

Maxine Harriet Buehner was born March 29, 1912, at Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of John J. and Adelia (Stufflebeam) Buehner.

Surviving besides her parents are four sisters, Lois and Gladys, both living at home; Mrs. C. H. Nichols, 2207 Fourth Street East, and Mrs. E. L. Oehlerts, 422 Cutler Street; and one brother, Jack, at home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey C. Travis, pastor of Grace M. E. Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
