WATERLOO - Edith E. Fagerlind, 98, the Denver Sunset Home, Denver, formerly of Waterloo, died at the home Wednesday, March 30, 2005.

She was born Oct. 16, 1906, in Appleton, Minn., daughter of Edward and Nellie Pines Schake. She married Carl C. Fagerlind on July 31, 1925, in Nashua. He died Sept. 13, 1977.

Mrs. Fagerlind worked at Powers Manufacturing Co. during World War II and worked the coat check at Electric Park Ballroom during dances.

Survivors include a son, Dean (Nola) of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Steve (Beth) Fagerlind and Jerry (Elaine) Neuendorf, both of Denver, Iowa, Mike (Ann) Fagerlind of Peosta, Joe (Connie) Fagerlind of Corona, Calif., and Curtis and Randy (Karen) Neuendorf, both of Tripoli; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mabel Yaggy of Palisade, Minn.

Preceded in death by eight brothers; a sister; and a daughter, Joyce Neuendorf-Fink.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
