WATERLOO - Leonore "Lee" Conrad, 82, of Waterloo, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born June 17, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of George and Martha Stackhouse Travilous. She married Wendell R. "Chubby" Conrad on Jan. 9, 1944, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waterloo. He died June 19, 2002.

Mrs. Conrad graduated from Waterloo West High School. She was a licensed cosmetologist in Iowa and previously was a gourmet chef in California.

She was a sweet, gentle and loving person who put her family first, and she was so proud of them. When they were able, the family enjoyed traveling in the United States and Canada. She dearly loved her church and her church family.

Survivors include a sister, Nancy (Marv) Davis of Boulder City, Nev.; a stepsister, Dotha Shannon of Fort Pierre, S.D.; and her brothers and sisters in faith.

Preceded in death by a son, Jim, on March 6, 2005.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
