Dona Mae (Pint) Borrelli, 78, passed away comfortably, surrounded by her family, on Feb. 9, 2005, at Middlesex Hospital [Connecticut] from complications of Parkinson's disease. She formerly lived at Austin Road and Trinity Hill Road in Durham, Conn.; Reservoir Street in Holden, Mass.; and Ledge Road in Cromwell, Conn.

Dona Mae was born in Raymond, Iowa, the daughter of the late Joseph and Cecelia (Bloes) Pint.

Dona Mae was best remembered at Mercy High School as the cafeteria manager whose peanut butter cookies were legendary. She was a co-owner of the Ivy Kitchen in Worcester, Mass., and was previously employed at the deli department of Stop & Shop in Cromwell and Middletown.

In 2004, she witnessed her beloved Red Sox, N.E. Patriots and UConn basketball teams all win championships.

Her many talents included gardening, cross-stitching, sewing and candy making. Dona Mae enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, visiting her many friends, traveling and working in the Horticultural Hall at Durham Fair. She was one of the original board members of Notre Dame Church in Durham, becoming a very active member in the community.

She is survived by five children and their families: Karen and Douglas Ramsey, Kristian, Meeghan and Jonathan of Holden, Mass.; Stephen and Barbara Borrelli, Amanda and Brenden of Middletown; Ronald and Stephanie Borrelli, Shane of Middletown; Katherine and Ricki Nadeau, Carey of Cromwell; Sandra and Louis Duncan, Becky of Sisters, Ore.; and Leanne of Meriden. She also is survived by her one great-grandson, Michael Riddick of Meriden.

Dona Mae leaves two sisters, Teresa Lovell and Mary Brice; five brothers, Dwywan, Donald, James and Garald, all in Iowa, and Stanley Pint of Arizona.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Loren, Lavern, Leonard and Robert.

A Funeral Liturgy was held on Monday, Feb. 14 at Notre Dame Church, Main St., Durham, at 11 a.m. Burial was in Mica Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Restless Leg Syndrome Foundation, 819 Second St., S.W., Rochester, MN 55902, or to the Notre Dame Church, Main St., Durham, CT 06422. Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.
