Bernard Lawrence Eyestone died Jan. 28, 2005, in Houston, Texas. He was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Campbell, Minn. After 25 years teaching biology at West Waterloo High School, he retired in 1972. Since retirement he actively enjoyed his two favorite past times - fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Larson Eyestone; and parents, Ethyl and Floyd Eyestone.

He is survived by his second wife, Jessie Lauman Eyestone of Riceville; sister, Pauline Werner of Rock Island, Ill.; son, John Eyestone of Muskego, Wis.; and five stepchildren, Pam Hester, Chris Leard, Gary and Bill Lauman of the Houston area, and Bob Lauman of Manitoba. As well as many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Obit doesn't say, but possibly they wintered in Texas as the two sources below say (1) he lived in Riceville and (2) died in Riceville, Iowa.
